Shipping – General Information
Shipping of gauges domestically by road, rail or air must be carried out by licensed carriers and in accordance with the Transport Code. Appropriate documentation must accompany all consignments, including Dangerous Goods Declaration forms, Special Form Certificates and Emergency Response Sheets. Gauges must be shipped in approved Type A containers (transport cases) which must be in good condition, correctly labelled and security sealed. Gauges must be locked in the shielded position inside the container.Dangerous Goods Declaration forms for air consignments both domestically and internationally must be completed only by persons who have received dangerous goods training on an approved CASA course. This includes packing, marking, labelling and signing of Dangerous Goods Declarations. Full details are available from the CASA website.
Shipping Case Labels:
Labels on the shipping case should indicate exactly what is in each case. You should have 2 Yellow II labels, 1 on the front of the case and 1 on the rear. To view the Yellow II label for your gauge, select the gauge model from the table below.
On the rear of the case should also be a US DOT Type “A” label. For model 3400 series gauges and 3241-C, use the US DOT Type “A” RQ label. For model 4640-B gauges, use the US DOT Type “A” label.

Note – do not ship gauges without prior approval and without notification to and/or approval of the receiver.
