Description:
This test method is used to measure the consistency of stiff to extremely dry concrete. Consistency is measured as the time required for a given mass of concrete to be consolidated by vibrating in a cylindrically shaped mould. The small vibrating table operates at a fixed amplitude and frequency .

- 54-C0195/C conforming to ASTM C1170 – Procedure A, to ASTM C1170 – Procedure B (using accessory 54-C0195/C1) and to ASTM C1176 (using the accessory 54-C0195/C2)

The operating principle is practically identical and the units differ from one to the other in the shape of the container and swivel arm with surcharge weight. The 50 lb (22.7 kg) surcharge weight required by ASTM C1170-Procedure A, which is part of the 54-C0195/C unit, can be replaced by the 27,5 lb (12,5 kg) sliding weight to Procedure B and/or by the 20 lb (9 kg) sliding weight conforming to ASTM C1176 (see accessories). Otherwise it’s available the equipment conforming to ASTM C1176 supplied along with 20lb (9kg) surcharge weight. In the EN model the weight of the moving part is 2.75 kg.
